Fall/Winter Skincare Routine

Fall is here is winter isn't too far away which means it is time to change up the skin care routine. Time to moisture dry skin and add a nice glow to dull skin.

Morning

As soon as I wake up I like to wash my face with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for All Skin Types ($12) to gently cleanse my face. This cleanser is great in leaving the skin feeling clean and very soft. Also this can be used to remove makeup it is so gentle and cleansing. Next moisturize my face with the Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer ($6). The moisturizer is great for oily skin because it leaves no trace of oil and absorbs very quickly. My under-eye area tends to get dry and dark, especially during the colder seasons. To moisturize my under eyes, I use The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream ($18). An eye cream with vitamin E is very moisturizing and leaves a smooth finish by diminishing the looks of fine lines and wrinkles. Finally I like to help de-puff and brighten my under-eyes with The Body Shop Vitamin C Eye Reviver Duo ($21). This duo is perfect for the morning and really helps to cool and brighten the under-eyes. There are two steps to this product. The first step is to use the roller ball applicator to cool and de-puff the under-eyes. The second step is to use the doe-foot applicator to apply the brightening serum under the eyes to give the illusion of bright under-eyes.

Night

At night I like to treat and using a heavier moisturizer. I use the same cleaner the wash my face, but I switch my moisturizer. Adding a heavier moisturizer Cetaphil Moisturing Lotion for All Skin Types ($11)at night makes my skin more hydrated when I wake up. After my moisturizer, I like to do a spot treatment Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment ($7)on any active acne or spots where a feel a blemish coming on so I don't wake up in the morning with any surprises. Especially during the winter, my lips get easily chapped. Before I go to bed, I like to apply Vaseline ($5) I wake up with soft, moisturized lips.

Weekly

These product I only use a few times a week. The Biore Pore Strips ($6) I like using about a few times a week to unclog the pores in my nose because I am pone to blackheads. These are amazing, they clean out your pores and you can actually see the results right away! Another product I like to use is an exfoliating mask, No7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Mask for normal to oily skin ($17). This product feels so cool and clarifying because as it hits the skin it heats to open and clear your pores. I product that I like to use every other day in the shower is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub ($4), which I find actually does a great job of gently getting rid of any dull rough skin. My favorite product that I like to use every Sunday morning to refresh my skin is The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask. This mask is great for controlling acne and controlling oil. After using the mask my skin feels so fresh and smooth.

The Perfect Fall Accessory

Cozy Sweater Tall Sock $20
http://www.freepeople.com/accessories-legwear-tall-socks/cozy-sweater-tall-sock-29137155/

The weather has finally gotten colder and the leaves are changing colors. Time to bring out the boots and the cozy socks! One of my favorite combos to wear this fall have been high-knee socks with riding boots. I recently purchased red high-knee socks from Free People to wear with my black Steve Madden riding boots. These socks from Free People are amazing!!!! They are so warm and they morph perfectly to my feet and my calves. These socks stay in place all day. I am not constantly having to pull them back up every few minutes. I plan on purchasing a few more colors in these socks. Knee-high socks go great with anything from skirts and dresses to jeans and leggings. Also knee-high socks make the transition from fall to winter perfectly. They are officially my new favorite accessory for fall.
